Loppers are like a giant pair of scissors

Pull saws - Work on the pull stroke. The saws are extremely sharp and should be closed up when moving around

Herbicide - Follow the label

Stinging insects - wasps and bees. Many bees and wasps are ground nesting. Yellow jackets will keep stinging until you leave the area (i.e. run)

Ticks - Lyme disease is in Washtenaw County. Use DEET herbicide around socks and lower pants or keep pants tucked into their socks. Take a shower when you get home.

Slips, Trips and Falls - We will be off trail, the ground has debris from prior years which can cause bad footing

When cutting down a tree, make sure the drop zone is clear. A safety partner / spotter is very helpful
